The EM4 high speed detector range is designed for high speed digital and analog applications. It comprises a small area InGaAs PIN diode optically coupled to single mode fiber in a hermetic package. The standard product has a 50 Ohm impedance matched RF output on an SMA connector.

The RF characteristics of the product (S21 > 20 GHz; S22 < -8dB; low < 1 dB ripple) make it suitable for host of communication, RF over fiber analog link, and instrumentation applications.
