EM4 Defense Launches Ultra-High Power and Brightness Lasers at Laser 2005 Munich

Bedford, Massachusetts – 10 June 2005 – EM4, Inc., and its wholly owned subsidiary EM4 Defense, the leading supplier of Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) optoelectronic modules and unique Optoelectronic Design and Manufacturing Services (ODMS), today announced the immediate availability of the new ultra-high power single emitter multimode laser product family. The lasers deliver >7 W of reliable optical power out of a 105 um, 0.15 NA fiber with >10W demonstrated capability. Product is available in a cooled 14 pin BFY package, 8 pin BFY or a TO-258 uncooled package using EM4’s advanced laser welding technology and epoxy-free construction at wavelengths of 915 nm, 940 nm and 975 nm.
