EM4 Opens
European Office

EM4 Inc, the leading US manufacturer of robust
photonic devices for the industrial and aerospace sector, is now
conducting business directly with customers in Europe. It has
recently dissolved its European network of distributors, citing a
desire to serve customers with better technical and commercial
support than was possible through third parties.
CEO Basil Garabet stated "...we
recognise the need to increase the level of technical and
sales support for customers in Europe. Although we have a range of
standard products, much of EM4's business is generated from customer
specific adaptations or new products. To succeed at doing this at a
distance from our factory, we have committed to direct interaction
with our customers ..."
Steve Kidd has been selected to lead the role
out of EM4's European
sales, support and marketing activities. With his previous
experience at Thorlabs and Melles Griot, he brings a strong
technical photonics background and many years of commercial
management experience.
